Biography
Edmond Chiu came alone from Hong Kong to study in Canada when he was quite young. He stayed with relatives and gradually integrated into Canada. He feels it's important that his children are fully immersed in both Chinese and mainstream Canadian cultures.
Summary
Edmond Chiu came to Canada when he was fourteen, in 1981. He knew no English at first. Over time he started meeting people of other ethnicities. Edmond mentions how much growth has happened in the immigrant communities in Toronto, and events from diverse cultures are celebrated by all, such as Diwali and the Chinese New Year.
