Z'otz Collective

Z'otz Collective at work

The Z'otz Collective formed when three artists from Latin America who lived and worked in collaboration decided to present themselves together. The fusion of their sensibilities and talents has won increasing international acclaim. Nahúm Flores, Erik Jerezano, and Ilyana Martínez created the personality of their collective in weekly drawing sessions. All three artists use representation and visualization of the absurd and the authentic through fusion of many forms in their creations. Independently established as artists with strong roots in Latin and immigrant experiences, they have held numerous shows on their own and have also participated as the Z'otz Collective in several international exhibitions. Z'otz means 'bat' in the Mayan language.
