Claire Carew
Claire Carew was born in Guyana of a mixed ancestry that has led her to explore her South American, African, European and Arawak roots. Her experience with traditional shaman healers played a significant role in the development of her art and its language through the discovery of her ancestors' lives and their experiences, in the form of spiritual subconscious and conscious narratives. A multi-gifted artist, she paints, reads, sings, writes and has held exhibitions and shows in many parts of the world.
