Articles

Immigrants are secular pilgrims in search of personal and community salvation in a new land. For them Toronto is not just a new address but also a series of learnings leading to a fusion of identities. These articles reflect the creative process of people who are part of this process, this mosaic.

The writings in this section range from celebrations of cultural memories to finding a touch of the old home in their new ones, as well as tales of determination to succeed as an immigrant overcoming all obstacles. They go beyond words and become statements on the milestones of immigrant life as they cope and ultimately prevail. They discuss immigrant experiences as a beginner and ultimately denote their progress, their victory as settlers.
